Founded in 1997, and incorporated in 2000, the Centre for Transportation Engineering and Planning (CTEP) is a non-profit volunteer based organization with a focus on the transportation industry through identifying educational needs, overseeing the development of courses and materials, facilitating, and providing educational opportunities whether through workshops and courses. Whether providing courses on advances in the world of transportation or providing refresher courses on industry standards and applications, our vision is to be a Canadian Centre of Excellence that facilitates the growth and enhancement of transportation knowledge through education and research. Since its inception, CTEP has organized and hosted over 100 courses, workshops and lunch and learns attended by roughly 3,000 people.
CTEP, throughout its existence, has funded over 40 transportation related research projects on topics such as road construction and maintenance, road safety, sustainable transportation, and pavement design to name a few, all of which are available on this site.
